A total of 282,523 pilgrims from all over the world have arrived in Medina on Sunday (26/6/2022) to perform this year‘s Hajj. Figures released by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah show 227,420 pilgrims entered the Kingdom via Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, while another 43,276 came by land.
Most of the visitors were Bangladeshis with 13,041 people, followed by 9,883 Nigerians, 8,676 Indians, 6,330 Iranians and 6,023 Pakistanis.
Reported by Arab News , Monday (27/6/2022), ministry data also revealed 171,606 pilgrims left Madinah over the past few days for the holy places in Makkah. On Sunday (26/5/2022), the number of pilgrims living in Medina reached 95,194.
Meanwhile, officers at the Halat Ammar border crossing continue to welcome pilgrims from abroad through an integrated service system provided by civil, military and government agencies.
The service aims to assist pilgrims and improve the quality of services provided by the Saudi government, from the moment the pilgrims arrive in the Kingdom, on their way to the holy sites, and until they return to their home countries.
